I purchased this excellent product as a gift for my partner Julie, after getting her interested in angling. She is thrilled with the product, this being her first rod I wanted something of high quality and also enjoyable to use. The rod certainly meets those requirements and more. So far it's been put to the test on two locations on Dartmoor against wild brown trout and has performed flawlessly. It casts light sinners with pinpoint accuracy, even into the stiff wind encountered on Dartmoor. The rod has a nice progressive action, and lots of sensitivity, although yet to be tested against anything bigger than 10 inch brown trout, I have every confidence that when contact is made with a larger fish the rod will equate itself well. Standard of fittings and finish is superb, especially at the very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone seeking a light sporting spinning rod.
