Steve lockett trials and tests the Prodigy TX Rova Plus

Angler’s Mail Steve Lockett is a keen overseas angler who has conducted a trial of the Prodigy TX Rova plus to see if these travel rods provide convenience for travel as well as performing on the water.

Here are some snippets of what Steve had to say, ‘Weighing in at 284gr (around 9oz) and supplied with a strong tube, the rod fitted into my suitcase easily, being 26 in. long when packed. I could also, is needed, check it in as a piece of separate sports luggage, pretty safe in the knowledge that the Cordura covered tube would stand up to the abuse airline baggage routinely gets.’

‘I felt the Rova had plenty of power and, in fact, my main problem was how to stop the fish smashing my 6lb hook length.’
